HI SCOTTY, YOU PERSONALLY DON'T KNOW ME, I AM A REGULAR ATTENDEE OF JRA...BUT I GUESS WE ARE JUST ABOUT LIVING IN THE SAME KIND OF PAIN RIGHT NOW, BACK PAIN. I HAVE LIVED MOST OF MY LIFE IN PAIN, AWFUL DEPILLATATING (sp) pain, until finally I had my 2nd back surgery this past AUGUST 18TH, (TOO FUNNY, IT WAS MY HUSBAND AND I'S 35 YR. ANNIVERSARY...) HAD IT HERE IN SPRINGFIELD,
WITH DR. RAHMIN FROM THE SPINE INSTITUTE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND YOU HAD AND ALSO DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW WHAT KIND I AM TALKING ABOUT THAT I HAD....IT'S CALLED
A "PLIF" SOMETHING LIKE A POST LUMBAR INTERFUSION....I BASICALLY HAD 2 TITANIUM RODS WITH VERY LONG SCREWS ON EACH SIDE OF MY SPINE AND THEN FUSING 2 VERTEBRAES
TOGETHER WITH A "CAGE" FILLED MY OWN BONE MIXED WITH A "CADIVER"? BONE...I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN THERE ONLY 3-4 DAYS BUT HAD SOME SETBACKS AND FINALLY, WITH GOD'S
GRACE, GOT TO COME HOME SUNDAY..SO ALL IN ALL, I WAS THERE FOR 7 DAYS... STILL TAKING IT VERRRRY SLOW AND EASY, STILL USING PAIN PILLS AND RESTING...I THINK OF YOU SO
OFTEN IN YOUR PAIN....AND OF COURSE YOUR SOOO MUCH YOUNGER THAN I, BUT IT SEEMS IT REALLY TAKES IT'S TOLL ON US "OLDER ONES". LLOYD CAME TO SEE ME IN THE HOSP. DON'T
KNOW WHAT KIND OF MENTAL SHAPE I WAS IN AT THE TIME OF HIS VISIT, BUT I DO REMEMBER HIM PRAYING FOR ME, HE IS THE NICEST!
ANYWAYS, I WON'T KEEP YOU ANYLONGER, PLUS I NEED TO CHANGE POSITIONS AND GET UP AND WALK AROUND....JUST THOUGHT I WOULD INTRODUCE MYSELF AND LET YOU KNOW I AM A
PERSON THAT KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT YOUR GOING THRU...BEEEELIEVE ME!
I PRAY THAT OUR GLORIOUS AND LOVING GOD WILL WATCH OVER YOU AND WRAP HIS ARMS AROUND YOU AND CODDLE YOU LIKE A BABY BIRD AND BRING YOU PEACE AND A PAIN FREE

Hey Scotty,
You're looking great. I so glad that everything is getting a little better. One day at a time God is going to keep healing you and healing your back. You know you have my prayers as well as my mom and dad's, and I'm sure everyone at James River, and beyond. Tens of thousands of people are on your side and will be with you in spirit everywhere you go. I glad I got to spend some time with you and hope to see you at Realife again real soon. Love ya man. Scotty, just wanted you to know that we are continuing to pray for your complete healing and recovery. We hope to get up to visit you all soon. It's so encouratging to know that people are pouring out prayer for the younger generation. We certainly need strong leaders in times like these.
